Indic Keyboard provides a setup wizard to guide users through the enabling process for a comfortable experience.

When attempting to enable the keyboard, some users may encounter a warning message regarding "collecting data." This message is a standard part of the Android operating system and is not a cause for concern.

Keyboard layouts refer to the various methods available for typing in one's native language. Indic Keyboard offers multiple keyboard layouts:

• Transliteration: allows users to type English characters that will be automatically transformed into their native language. For example, typing "namaste" in English will be correctly transformed into नमस्ते when using the Devanagari transliteration keyboard.
• Inscript layout: the standardized keyboard developed by the Government of India to accommodate most of the languages in India. It fully supports the Inscript specification and is compatible with existing Inscript keyboards on desktops.
• Phonetic keyboard: similar to the transliteration scheme, it allows users to type words as they sound using English characters, which are then automatically converted into their language.
• Compact Keyboard: enables typing Indian languages without using the shift key. Additional options can be accessed by long-pressing on the letters.
